Welcome to Year 3

3E Mrs Ellis and Mrs Scrace

3F Miss Fletcher and Mrs Ghale

3J Mr James, Mrs Sterrow and Mrs Gurung

This term we are learning about the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

We are looking forward to learning about what Stone Age people ate, wore and where they lived. We have found out about what life was like in the Stone Age by looking at the cave paintings they have left, we’ve even tried to create our own cave paintings.

In English we are beginning to look at a book called ‘Stone Age Boy’ by Satoshi Kitamura and using it as a start for our writing.

In maths we are focussing on place value and improving our number sense. Our next steps are to develop our formal addition and subtraction methods.
